Coach Andrea Trinchieri: “Virtus Bologna is a very physical and defensive team, quite similar to Olympiacos. They have two of the best defenders in Europe, Daniel Hackett and Alessandro Pajola, alongside talented players like Marco Belinelli, Will Clyburn, and Tornike Shengelia. We need to play solidly from the start; we can’t afford to begin poorly like we did in Piraeus.”

“Compared to last season, Virtus has added players like Will Clyburn and Rayjon Tucker. Isaia Cordinier has now become a cornerstone of the team. I didn’t specifically mention him at the beginning, but he has been playing incredibly well since the Olympics. To be honest, it doesn’t seem like Virtus has changed their system; they’ve simply strengthened it. Cordinier brings a lot of energy on both defense and offense, and he will be difficult to stop.”

Coach Luca Banchi: “As we begin this first double round of EuroLeague against Zalgiris, we are aware of the need to play a determined and clear-headed game against an opponent that excels in transition play and penetration thanks to the versatility of their lineups. Achille Polonara: “It will be a tough match, but we are playing at home, so we must bring even more energy, leveraging the support of our fans. Starting well will be crucial, unlike what we did in previous games. Zalgiris has experience and a core of players who have been playing together in Kaunas for a long time.”
