Trento’s Dolomiti Energia interested in Julian Gamble?

SERIE A (Italy) – Dolomiti Energia Trentino has lost Selom Mawugbe to injury and is considering former Virtus Bologna player Julian Gamble. The latest market updates.

Is Trento’s Dolomiti Energia Turning to Julian Gamble?

Julian Gamble might be making a return to Italy. The Durham native, who played for Virtus Bologna for two seasons between the summer of 2019 and June 2021, winning the championship in the 2020/21 season, is now on the radar of Dolomiti Energia Trentino. The Trento-based team has lost pivot Selom Mawugbe for about three weeks due to injury, and as the current Serie A leaders, they are reportedly considering Gamble for a short-term contract (according to ‘SuperBasket’).

In the summer of 2024, Gamble joined Virtus Bologna during training camp to assist the team with its preparations, due to numerous roster absences, including that of Devontae Cacok. After his summer stint with the Vu Nere, Gamble signed with Lobos BUAP in Mexico, where he averaged 10.4 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game until October 16. Following the conclusion of the season, the 1989-born pivot is now a free agent. During the 2023/24 season, Julian Gamble also played for Givova Scafati in the LBA Serie A.
